Sato Masochism


Pater Sato has always been an inspiration to me. Alongside Tony Viramontes and Antonio López, I see him as the ultimate expression of 1980s stylish illustration. Her airbrush heroines in astonishing make up are incredibly fascinating and transport you inevitably to, as I see it, a cooler time in History. One of his masterpieces is the Editorial for the January 1980 issue of PENTHOUSE: Sato Masochism. This kinky mule with a ball gag and plastic lips ornament is an ode to this artist and his wonderful work. Hand-assembles by me using a recicled sandal and upcycled fetish gear.
