POLLOCK
Jackson Pollock’s abstact expressionism and his original techinque (later labeled as action painting) are the inspiration behind this customization project. A square toe boot is upcycled by covering it in rubber drips and spasher randomly placed by hand. The only two parts referencing the usual elements of footwear design/decoration are the “bracelet” at the top of the shaft and a floral-ish ornament on top of the vamp. Spontaneus and fresh, the final product aligns quite well with the current trend of experimental handmade design using repurposed materials not used to be the mail feature of a product, such as this rubber.
