Mule O’Clock
Living in Sweden makes Abba come to mind quite often. One of my favourite songs by them is the ballad “Slipping through my fingers”, a melancholic reflection about how fast time goes by (focused in their case in a mother and her daughter). That plus the numerous times clocks/watches have collided with footwear: Maud Frizon, Giuseppe Zanotti, Dolce & Gabbana... are the starting point of this customizing project. A dada-ish ready-made consisting of a mule with clock details added to its upper. A surreal object intended to make the viewer smile and think, like I do very often, about the impossibility to stop time.
